Weak feels vulnerable, susceptible to more pain, unclear and vague, and hapless.
We humans form dozens of unconscious habits to avoid feeling these things.
(If you’re like me, I can find the moments when I felt weak by tracing through the times when I responded with strength. If I’m furiously organizing my closet, tasking with little awareness of the world around me, or barking at my kids with instructions, it’s often a response to some weakness I felt.)
What if we stayed there in that weakness just a bit longer and explored it with Him? What does He have to show us, of Himself, in this akward and often avoided place?
{He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. Psalm 103:14}
