These days across our country are brutal. Part of what kept my heart engaged in the longest and most brutal stretch of trial in my life in my 20s and into my 30s was the gifts that came in the middle of them. Call me selfish, but those deposits from God helped me endure what, at the time, felt to be an excessive amount of weakness.
Deeper grooves in my heart were made by these whispers from God. (I imagine you have memories stored up inside of you of similar whispers and surprise bursts of beauty).
So here’s a question: What’s one way to build an expectancy into your day during those weak stretches? (Ask Him for ideas. Sit with this one, with Him.) It might be as simple as taking 5 minutes at the end of each day to note where He showed up when you were weak.
Do share your ideas below … let’s learn from each other.
