For many (if not all) of us, the most terrifying thing in our lives is to be without deep, personal connection. We were made for this intimate connect; thus we naturally crave it.
And perhaps the whole of our story … the whole of our lives … is God putting us on a footpath where we (finally) name that craving, identify where it’s not being met, and take it slowly, cautiously, carefully to Him.
