Quiet. Some of us lost ours, and others now have too much. But, for all of us, (I think this is true?): our internal quiet got a lot noisier. The once-quiet now echoes with fears, questions, longings, disappointments –things we masterfully avoided … until now. (Suggesting that maybe what we thought was quiet, wasn’t so after all.)
.
The things I spend years avoiding do have their way of finding me. Sounds ominous, except that in each instance of discovering latent fear and stubbing my toe on buried disappointment: when I brought it to Him, He had a response. Not always an answer, but a response that dislodged something on my insides.
.
Tomorrow we turn the calendar, despite that our days look identical to ones from last week and the month before. Consider adoration as your “new” for this month?
