Twenty-four years ago today, he proposed. And for the first eight or nine years of our marriage, we both wondered, “what in the world did we do?!”
This marriage has been a mortar and pestle, at times … serving the task of making our lives so much fuller of flavor. I wouldn’t have chosen this story to be any other way.
Isn’t that the grand retelling of the story of God in our lives that we are working toward – the re-storying? I look back and am so grateful for the miles and miles this man and I have walked. He is my very favorite person in the whole wide world, says my little girl heart.
